Contracoelum skrjabinianum Witenberg, 1926 — Type and only species

Type host. Glossy ibis, Plegadis falcinellus Linnaeus ( Pelecaniformes : Threskiornithidae )— Chertkova et al. ( 1994).

Type locality. Armenia; specific type locality unknown—Chertkova et al. ( 1994).

Remarks. Dubois ( 1959) considered this to be a species of Ophthalmophagus . Joyeux & Baer ( 1927), Kanev et al. ( 2002 a) and Dronen ( 2007 a) considered Contracoelum to be synonymous with Spaniometra. No oral or ventral sucker described—Witenberg ( 1926); Bashkirova ( 1950).
