Type host. Eurasian coot, Fulica atra Linnaeus ( Gruiformes : Rallidae ).

Type locality. Devikund, Bikaner District, Rajasthani, India.

Additional locality. Kolkata (historically Calcutta in English), West Bengal, India—Gupta (1964); Nama (1984).

Remarks. Although described in 1964, this species was not listed by Yamaguti (1971). Rudimentary oral sucker present—Gupta (1964); Nama (1984).
