Diagnosis. Agriothera elaeocarpophaga is characterized by the absence of white mark on apical prominence of forewing ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1–6 ). In the male genitalia ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 7–10 ), the broad median band formed by gnathal arms, the extremely narrowed and lengthened valva with a spine on distal margin, the U-shaped aedeagus. Agriothera elaeocarpophaga can be easily distinguished from its allies by above-mentioned characters.
Distribution. China (Guangxi, Hainan, Taiwan, Yunnan), Japan, India ( Moriuti 1978, 1982).
Remarks. This species is recorded from mainland China for the first time.
