NOTE: (1) Thomson (1877: 811) described the subgenus Glyptoxysta within Alloxysta , including two species: A. (G.) xanthocephala Tomson, 1862 and a new species A. (G.) heterocera Thomson, 1877 . Ashmead (1903: 142) considered Glyptoxysta as a valid genus and proposed G. heterocera as the type species. Rohwer & Fagan (1917:367) erroneously designated G. xanthocephala as the type species for Glyptoxysta but later they corrected their mistake ( Rohwer & Fagan, 1919: 238). Hellén (1963: 4) synonynyzed Glyptoxysta with Dilyta but only mentioned D. subclavata (= heterocera ) and D. xanthocephala in his work. Kierych (1979a) considered that the valid type species of Glyptoxysta was G. xanthocephala because G. heterocera belongs to Dilyta and erroneously considered Glyptoxysta as a valid genus with a single species G. xanthocephala . Fergusson (1986: 16) solved this chaos considering Glyptoxysta (including the type species G. heterocera proposed by Asmead) as a synonymy of Dilyta according to Hellén (1963: 4), and described Apocharips to include G. xanthocephala because this species does not belong in Dilyta . Allotria xanthocephala was synonymyzed by Evenhuis (1982: 26) with Xystus trapezoideus Hartig, 1841 and these species were included in Dilyta . Finaly, Menke & Evenhuis (1991: 152) transferred definitively D. trapezoidea (= xanthocephala ) to Apocharips .
