Family Laelapidae Berlese View in CoL View at ENA

Five laelapid genera viz. Gaeolaelaps , Gymnolaelaps , Hyperlaelaps , Laelaspis and Stratiolaelaps and two species L. pennatus and S. scimitus are new to the fauna of SA. Previously, three genera viz. Androlaelaps , Cosmolaelaps , Hypoaspis and five species viz A. casali , C. qassimensis , C. simplex , H. dactylifera and H. zaheri were reported ( Table 1 View TABLE 1 ).
