Family Rhodacaridae Oudemans View in CoL
Three rhodacarid genera viz. Multidentorhodacarus , Pennarhodeus and Protogamasellopsis and two species M. aegypticus and P. zaheri are reported new to the fauna of SA. Previously, two species viz Rhodacarus roseus and Rhodacarellus citri were reported from SA ( Table 1 View TABLE 1 ) of which the former species was also recorded in the current study and is presented with new host and distribution data.
