18. Chryasus sculpturatus (Casey) , new combination

Aniops sculpturatus Casey (1922: 274 and 319, key and description).
Diagnosis. With a length of 2.2 mm, C. sculpturatus is among the smallest species of the genus, all of which have conspicuous squamulae and femora with barely perceptible denticles. It is most similar to four unidentified specimens from São Paulo in my collection ( Fig. 47 View FIGURES 34–47 ).
Material examined. BRAZIL. Mato Grosso: Chapada dos Guimarães, 1882–1886, H.H. & A. Smith, male holotype ( USNM 1 About USNM ) .
Notes. This specimen is another illegal exportation by H.H. Smith (see notes under 15. C. densus ).
