4. Chryasus nimius Prena , new species

Diagnosis. Chryasus nimius is the most slender among the large humped species. The interstrial ridges on the elytral disc are interrupted by two transverse depressions.
Description: Total length 5.3–5.4 mm, width 2.5–2.6 mm (n=2); integument black, antenna and tarsus brown; body elongate rhomboidal, sides of pronotum and elytra for most parts gradually converging, pronotum moderately vaulted, distinctly vermiculate on disc and shallowly punctate on flank, elytron with two transverse depressions, interstriae ridged, male metaventral protuberance angularly pronounced and cleft by discrimen, male ventrites 1, 2 and 5 shallowly depressed and with erect squamulae; all femora with denticles almost entirely reduced except for 1; genitalia not examined.
Material examined. Holotype male, labeled “Est. Magsasay, P.N./ Braulio Carrillo, 200 m / Prov. Here, COSTA RICA / M. Barrelier, Ene 1991,/ L-N-254600, 531100”, CRI000 064266 ( MNCR) . Paratype (1 male): Costa Rica, Puntarenas, Quepos, P.N. Manuel Antonio, R. Zúñiga, Abr. 1991, CRI000 601953 ( MNCR) .
Etymology. The name is a Latin adjective meaning very big or too big.
