Diagnosis. The diagnosis is unchanged from that given by Maddison (2016).

Remarks. Papuaneon was described on the basis of a male and female pair of specimens of Papuaneon tualapa from a single location in Papua New Guinea. Further specimens of this species have now been collected from Australia. Examples of Australian male and female morphologies are shown in figures 3–7. There is no obvious difference between specimens from Australia and Papua New Guinea.

Distribution and Biology. The type material was collected in the highlands of Papua New Guinea. The Australian specimens are from high-rainfall forests in north eastern Queensland ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 3–7 ), as a consequence, likely IUCN Red List Category LC.
