There are no specimens placed under this name in the MHNG collection. There is a series of five Ƌ and five ♀ placed separately in the collection as E. clavelii with “ Algerie du Sud” on the species name label in the insect box. The colouration of these specimens conforms to the original description of E. c. algericus and they may be syntypes, although it is not possible to be certain of this. Box W 1 .
