Metahygrobiella subgen. Apohygrobiella R.M.Schust. ex Vá ň a, subgen. nov.

Based on:— Metahygrobiella subgen. Apohygrobiella R.M.Schust., Beih. Nova Hedwigia 119: 15, 2002 ( Schuster 2002) nom. inval. (Art. 53.1; no Latin description).

Diagnosis (cf. Schuster 2002:15):—Differs from subgenus Metahygrobiella in having leaves strongly asymmetrically bilobed, dorsal half larger. Vegetative branches intercalary, the leafy branches often or all lateral-intercalary. Leaves ± crenulated-denticulate. No hyalodermis.
