This endemic species is recorded from the west coast (Poya) and the east coast (Pouébo) and the Central Range (Sarraméa, Mt Aoupinié, Forêt Plate, Mt Yambi, Mt Djiaouma). It is an uncommon species in the wild. This Orcus View in CoL would be a predator of hemipterous prey in forested areas. According to Laczynski & Tomaszewska (2009), the pattern and coloration of the elytra and pronotum are unique within the genus and easily separates O. chujoi from all its congeners.
