Endemic to New Caledonia, this species is only known from the type series (holotype and two paratypes, Nouméa, on coconut tree). No information is available on its biology and feeding ecology.
Material examined. NEW CALEDONIA: Nouméa, on coconut, viii.1968 (P. Cochereau rec.) ( MNHN).
