The holotype is deposited in NMPC (general collection):

HOLOTYPE (J): ‘ USSR, Kazachstan / Medeo (Alam-Ata) / 5.7.1979, 2000m / Mir.Dvořák lgt. [p] // Holo- / typus [p, red label, black margin] // Kubania gen.nov. / elegans sp.n. J [hw] / K. Majer det. [p] 1982 [hw] / HOLO- TYPUS [hw]’.

Current status. Valid species.

Remark. MAJER (1983) stated in the original description that the holotype of K. elegans was deposited in NMPC. However, in fact, it stayed in Majer’s private collection and was sold to Naturhistorisches Museum Wien (NHMW) in 1995 (see JÄCH 1995). The holotype was returned to NMPC in 2012 by the courtesy of NHMW employees.
