Current status. Junior subjective synonym of Dasytidius latissimus Majer, 1989 , see MAJER (1996a).
Remark. MAJER (1989d) stated in the original description that the holotype of D. avius was deposited in NMPC. However, in fact, it stayed in Majer’s private collection and was sold to Naturhistorisches Museum Wien (NHMW) in 1995 (see JÄCH 1995). The holotype was returned to NMPC in 2012 by the courtesy of NHMW employees.
