Lichenomima bonaverensis n. sp.
( Figs 1–5 View FIGURES 1–5 )
Diagnosis. Belonging to the assemblage of species that presents semioval epiproct, elongated phallosome and fused side struts basally. Due to the general shape of the phallosome, mainly for the elongated shape (like lobules) of the external parameres, it is somewhat similar to L. chelata ( Thornton & Woo 1973) ( Fig. 171 View FIGURES 170–180 ), but it differs from it because its side struts are very narrow basally and the lobes of the external parameres have subparallel margins, each somewhat truncated apically and partially overlapping ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1–5 ).
Male. Color. Head ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1–5 ) brown, with dark brown spots on vertex and genae; compound eyes dark brown to black; ocelli hyaline, with ochre centripetal crescents; antennae pale brown; maxillary palps pale brown. Thorax brown, with cream spots. Legs brown, trochanter paler distally dark brown, femora and tibiae darker apically. Forewings ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1–5 ) with hyaline areas and pale brown spots, veins brown, with hyaline areas; alar margin, subcostal and anal vein punctate, pterostigma dark brown, with brown spots, extend outside the margin R1. Hindwings ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1–5 ) smoked, almost hyaline, brown veins and dotted costal-apical margin.Abdomen white creamy, clunium, phallosome brown ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1–5 ), epiproct and paraprocts ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1–5 ) pale brown.
Morphology. As in diagnosis, plus the following: Head ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1–5 ): H/MxW: 1.30; compound eyes large, H/ D: 1.75; IO/MxW: 0.50. Vertex slightly sinuous, clearly below upper margin of compound eyes. Outer cusp of lacinial tips broad, with five denticles; Mx4/Mx2: 1.12. Forewings ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1–5 ): L/W: 2.75. Pterostigma: lp/wp: 2.99, areola postica high, triangular, with apex reaching vein M, al/ah: 1.59. Hindwings ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1–5 ): l/w: 2.80. Phallosome ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1–5 ). Hypandrium missing. Paraprocts ovoid, with apical process of rounded apex and curved inwards, another short process in the middle part of the inner margin ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1–5 ), with a dense field of setae and macrosetae on distal area; sensory fields with 30 trichobothria on basal rosettes. Epiproct ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1–5 ) semioval, with scattered setae and macrosetae, basal field with three central setae, others lateral and over distal field, as illustrated.
