"Habitat ad Cap. b. spei arenosa." RCN: 1578.

Lectotype (Cafferty & Beyers in Taxon 48: 172. 1999): Tulbagh 24, Herb. Linn. No. 263.7 ( LINN) .

Current name: Phylica stipularis L. ( Rhamnaceae ).

Note: The name was threatened by Lachnaea conglomerata L. (1753) , which was successfully proposed for rejection by Cafferty & Beyers (in Taxon 48: 171. 1999).
