Diagnosis: Subspecies of T. springeri with strongly serrated arms, arm syzygies usually with vermiculated facets, usually 10 (35%) or 11 (50%) internodals per noditaxis, moderate internodal thickness (H / D <0.4 in adults), and cirri that are usually longer than in the other subspecies.
Locus typicus: As for the species.
Occurrence: East Arabian Sea, Laccadive Islands, off Madras, Adaman Islands, and south Sumatra; depth range 915–1280 m.
