Etymology. From the name of the river.

Type material. HOLOTYPE, ” ( AEI): Bolivia: El Palmar , November 1956 (Chapare, 900 m, L. E. Peña).

Holotype, ”, length of body 4.8 mm, of fore wing 5.4 mm.

Head. Remaining antennal segments 31, length of third segment 1.25 times fourth, length of third and fourth segments five and four times their maximal widths, respectively; maxillary palps 1.8 times height of head; length of eye in dorsal view 2.5 times temple; eyes mainly with sparse and short setae; temple directly narrowed posteriorly, coriaceous; OOL: diameter of ocellus: POL~4.0:2.0:3.0; frons smooth medially, shiny; vertex convex, punctate, flattened near stemmaticum ( figure 9 View FIGS ); face convex, punctate, smooth between punctures, with long setae; clypeus convex and punctate; length of malar space twice basal width of mandible; malar suture present; occipital flange small, rounded posteriorly and angled ventrally ( figure 4 View FIGS ).

Mesosoma. Length of mesosoma 1.45 times its maximal height; mesopleuron sparsely punctate, smooth and shiny; precoxal sulcus distinctly crenulate; metapleuron smooth and shiny; mesoscutum punctate; notauli deeply impressed anteriorly; scutellar sulcus smooth ( figure 92 View FIGS ); scutellum convex, smooth and shiny; propodeum medially convex, weakly coriaceous with some weak transverse parallel rugae medially, smooth laterally, with sparse long setae; metapleural flange large and angulate.

Wings. Fore wing: r: SR1z3-SR~11:50; 2-SR:r-m~11:6; second submarginal cell (sub)sessile; subbasal cell glabrous anteriorly; vein 3-CU1 as long as vein CU1b. Hind wing: 2-M coloured; membrane largely glabrous basally.

Legs. Hind coxa punctate laterally and strongly granulose dorsally, with rugae apically; lengths of hind femur, tibia and basitarsus 5.8, 10.0, 10.0 times their maximal widths, respectively; hind femur weakly concave ventrally in lateral view; tibial spurs 0.52 and 0.4 times basitarsus; hind tibia with four apical teeth.

Metasoma. First tergite 3.6 times longer than apically wide, weakly coriaceous, shiny, apically in lateral view; spiracles protruding; second tergite shiny; T2 1.2 times longer than T3; second suture smooth, straight; ovipositor sheath 0.15 times fore wing length.

Colour. Yellowish brown. Frons, vertex, upper part of temple, tergites, hind femur (except ventrally), hind tibia dorsally and apically, stemmaticum, outer stripe of scapus, hind tibial spurs, telotarsus, propodeum dorsally, apical patch (apical third of marginal cell), ovipositor sheath blackish; humeral plate, hind trochantellus, mid tibia dorsally, mid tarsus (except telotarsus) brownish; mesoscutum, mesopleuron, metapleuron, pronotum, face, rest of temple orange; hind femur ventrally, ventral stripe on hind tibia, tegula orange-yellowish; hind basitarsus except apically whitish yellow.
