Type material. HOLOTYPE, „ ( USNM): Kenya: Ngong Forestry Sta [tion] [near Nairobi], 13–20 April 1968 (Malaise trap; P. J. Spangler).

Holotype, „, length of body 6.75 mm, of fore wing 6.3 mm.

Head ( figure 130 View FIGS ). Remaining antennal segments 13, length of third segment 1.3 times fourth, length of third and fourth segments 3 and 2.3 times their maximal width; eyes glabrous; length of eye in dorsal view 2.2 times temple; temple punctate, directly narrowed posteriorly; OOL: diameter of ocellus: POL~2.0:1.0:1.0; frons smooth medially, punctate laterally; face convex in lateral view, punctate; clypeus convex in lateral view, punctate; maxillary palp 1.5 times height of head; length of malar space 0.75 times basal width of mandible; malar suture present; occipital flange straight ventrally and rounded posteriorly.

Mesosoma ( figure 108 View FIGS ). Length of mesosoma 1.43 times its maximal height; side of pronotum crenulate medio-anteriorly, coriaceous ventrally, smooth near tegulae; mesopleuron smooth with some wrinkles near tegulae; precoxal sulcus punctate and not reaching anterior margin of mesopleuron; metapleuron punctate; mesoscutum sparsely punctate; presence of a deep mid-posterior depression on mesoscutum; scutellar sulcus wide and smooth; scutellum convex and smooth; propodeum medially convex in lateral view, granulose-coriaceous with several transverse rugae; metapleural flange acute.

Wings. Fore wing: r: SR1z3-SR~11:45; 2-SR: r-m~12:7; second submarginal cell subsessile; subbasal cell glabrous anteriorly; vein 3-CU1 subequal to vein CU1b. Hind wing: 2-M coloured; membrane largely glabrous basally.

Legs. Hind coxa punctate with rugae dorsally; lengths of hind femur, tibia and basitarsus 6.4, 7.7 and 9.5 times their widths, respectively; tibial spurs 0.44 and 0.31 times basitarsus; hind tibia with four apical teeth.

Metasoma. First tergite 2.6 times longer than apically wide, smooth and shiny, medially flattened and apically convex in lateral view; spiracles protruding; second tergite smooth with a clear medio-basal convexity; T2 0.9 times longer than T3; second suture smooth, straight.

Colour. Brownish yellow. Stemmaticum, outer stripe on scapus, apex of hind tibia, hind tibial spurs, apex of basitarsus, following hind tarsus, all telotarsus blackish; apex of T1, T2–T6 dorsally, lateral lobe of mesoscutum brownish; apex of fore wing, humeral plate infuscate; tegula yellowish.
