Holotype, „, length of body 4.32 mm, of fore wing 3.84 mm.

Head. Remaining antennal segments 28, length of third segment 1.6 times fourth, length of third and fourth segments 4 and 2.5 times their maximal widths, respectively; eyes glabrous; length of eye in dorsal view 4.5 times temple; temple directly narrowed posteriorly, slightly coriaceous, shiny; OOL: diameter of ocellus: POL~2.0:1.0:1.0; front smooth medially, shiny, laterally sparsely punctate; vertex convex, punctate, flattened near stemmaticum; face convex, punctate, smooth between punctures; clypeus convex; maxillary palps 1.4 times height of head; length of malar space one times basal width of mandible; occipital flange rounded posteriorly and angled ventrally ( figure 116 View FIGS ).

Mesosoma ( figure 34 View FIGS ). Length of mesosoma 1.26 times its maximal height; side of pronotum, medio-anteriorly rugose and remainder smooth; mesopleuron smooth and shiny; precoxal sulcus not reaching anterior border of mesopleuron, only punctate medially; metapleuron sparsely punctate; mesoscutum sparsely punctate; scutellar sulcus smooth; scutellum convex, smooth; surface of propodeum medially convex in lateral view, with some coarse transverse rugae and with sparse long setae; mid-longitudinal carina of propodeum present anteriorly; metapleural flange triangular and blunt ( figure 125 View FIGS ).

Wings. Fore wing: r: SR1z3-SR~7:34; 2-SR: r-m~6:4; second submarginal cell petiolate; cu-a clearly antefurcal; subbasal cell glagrous anteriorly; vein 3-CU1 as long as vein CU1b. Hind wing: 2-M coloured; membrane largely glabrous basally.

Legs. Hind coxa with coarse rugae dorsally ( figure 125 View FIGS ); lengths of hind femur, tibia and basitarsus 6.5, 7.7 and 7.3 times their widths, respectively; tibial spurs 0.6 and 0.36 times basitarsus; hind tibia with five apical teeth.

Metasoma. First tergite 3.3 times longer than apically wide, flattened in lateral view ( figure 125 View FIGS ), smooth and shiny; spiracles strongly protruding; second tergite smooth and shiny; T2 1.2 times longer than T3; second suture smooth, straight.

Colour. Brownish yellow. Hind coxa apically and medially, hind femur except ventrally, hind tibia apically and dorsally, hind basitarsus except medially, tergites (except a transverse band near second suture), propodeum dorsally, mesoscutum dorsally, mid tibia apically, hind tibial spurs, stemmaticum, apical patch of fore wing (0.4 of marginal cell), wing veins blackish; scapus dorsally, antennal segments dark brown; vertex, tegula, humeral plate, hind trochantellus, metapleuron dorsally brownish; scapus ventrally, transverse band near second suture, mid coxa yellowish.

Variation. Vertex sometimes brownish or with two weakly infuscate spots, mesoscutum varies from brownish yellow to completely brownish, tergites sometimes completely dark brown. All paratypes have 42 antennal segments.

Remarks. Two specimens are excluded from the type series because of their darkish coloration. They are labelled as followed: Costa Rica: „, Prov. Punt., 200 m, Peninsula de Osa, Rancho Quemado, November 1991 (F. Quemada; L-S- 292500, 511000) (INBIO); „, Prov. Punt., P. N. Corcovado, 0–100 m, Est.
