Lectotype (Meikle, Fl. Cyprus 2: 1727. 1985; Scholz in Cafferty & al. in Taxon 49: 249. 2000): Herb. Linn. No. 91.19 ( LINN) .

Current name: Lamarckia aurea (L.) Moench View in CoL ( Poaceae ).

Note: Although Kerguélen (in Lejeunia, n.s., 75: 204. 1975) stated "Type: …LINN”, this is not accepted as a formal typification, for the reasons explained by Cafferty & al. (in Taxon 49: 240. 2000). Meikle (Fl. Cyprus 2: 1727. 1985) indicated unspecified type material at LINN but did not distinguish between two possible sheets there (91.19 and 91.20). It is difficult to be certain that these did not form part of a single collection, so Meikle’s choice is accepted as effective, and was restricted to sheet 91.19 by Scholz, in accordance with Art. 9.15.
