Lemmus trimucronatus View in CoL species complex
Distribution: Northern Asia east of the Kolyma River (Chukotka and Kamchatka peninsulas), and northern North America (Fedorov et al. 2003).
Comments: This informal category contains two sister species, i.e. Beringian L. nigripes (True, 1894) , and Canadian L. trimucronatus (Richardson, 1825) lemmings. The mean cytb p-distance between these taxa is as high as 7.2% ( Table 4), and they were fully supported as separate species-level units by our species delimitation modeling ( Fig. 2 View Figure 2 ).
