Diagnosis. Males of A. punctata resemble those of A. velox by the coloration pattern, but can by recognised by the broad and short terminal apophysis, longitudinally oriented ( Figs 16 View FIGURE 16 d, 10d). The females also resembles those of A. velox in the shape of the epigyne, but have a smaller epigynal plate ( Figs 16 View FIGURE 16 a, 10a) and a short and straight stalk of the spermathecae ( Figs 16 View FIGURE 16 b, 10b).

Description. Male (MACN-Ar 22756). Carapace brown, with a light brown median band and a conspicuous Y-shaped dark mark that extends from the fovea to the PLE, submarginal bands pale ( Figs 15 View FIGURE 15 d–f). Sternum yellow, sparsely covered with brown bristles, more abundant on margins. Labium dark grey. Chelicerae lighter than labium, light brown, covered with brown bristles. Dorsum of abdomen brown with longitudinal irregular pale marks on the center and longitudinal lines of white pubescence on its lateral sides ( Figs 15 View FIGURE 15 d–f). Venter pale brown.
