Syn., Tax.: Angelia capillata Berlese , 1914. Heminothrus capillatus : Balogh & Mahunka 1983 (B); Olszanowski 1996 (B).

- Platynothrus capillatus var. septentrionalis Sellnick, 1944: Sellnick & Forsslund 1955. Heminothrus septentrionalis : Ghilarov & Krivoluckij 1975 (B); Balogh & Mahunka 1983 (B).

Nach Seniczak et al. 1990b ist die f1-Borste instabil, d.h. vorhanden bis reduziert.

Ökologie: Schwerpunkt in montanen Nadelwäldern.

Verbreitung: Paläarktis; bisher nicht in Deutschland.
