Lectotype (Robson in Rechinger, Fl. Iranica 49: 17. 1968): Herb. Linn. No. 943.34 ( LINN) .

Generitype of Hypericum Linnaeus (vide Green, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 177. 1929).

Current name: Hypericum perforatum L. ( Clusiaceae ).

Note: Robson indicated his type choice as sheet “943.94” (which does not exist), clearly in error for 943.34.
