TYPE MATERIAL. — Loyalty Islands. MUSORSTOM 6, stn DW 431, 20°22.25’S, 166°10.00’E, 21 m, in Lissoclinum verrilli (Van Name, 1902) , 18.II.1989, coll. B. Richer de
Forges, 1 ovigerous ♀ holotype pocl. 2.3 mm (minor P2 missing, telson broken) (MNHN-Na 15253).
Madagascar. MUA 76, in Didemnum sp. , coll. P. Laboute, 1 ovigerous ♀ paratype pocl. 2.1 mm ( RMNH D 51002).
Indonesia. Manado, 15 m, in Didemnum sp. , 2 juvenile paratype specimens pocl. 1.1 mm ( R = 2/0) and 1.4 mm ( R = 2/0) (damaged, most pereiopods detached) (MNHN- Na 15254).
ETYMOLOGY. — From the Latin “orbita” referring to the orbit of the eye, combined with the Latin “carina” meaning “ridge”.
