Basionym: ― Salsola ugabica Botsch. View in CoL in Botanicheskii Zhurnal 68(9): 1249 (1983). Type: ― SOUTH-WEST AFRICA [ NAMIBIA View in CoL ]. Cape Cross (2113BB), 15 km östlich der Küste, 6 km südlich des Ugab [River], im sandigen Rinnsal am Gesteinshang, 28 November 1978, Giess 15324 (holotype M-0107402!; isotypes PRE-0538930-0!, WIND!).

Distribution: ― Namibia : Skeleton Coast, near Ugab River (Erongo Region).
