Material examined. Golestan Province, Aliabade Katoul, N 36º 52' 53", E 54º 53' 24", 341 m a.s.l., breeding in trunk of Parrotia persica (Hamamelidaceae) , Sudabe Amini leg., 5 specimens, August 2015.
Scolytus intricatus View in CoL was previously recorded only from Quercus canariensis View in CoL , Q. castaneifolia View in CoL , Q. cerris View in CoL , Q. coccifera View in CoL , Q. frainetto View in CoL , Q. ilex View in CoL , Q. robur View in CoL , Fagus orientalis (Fagaceae) View in CoL , F. sylvatica View in CoL and Ostrya carpinifolia (Betulaceae) View in CoL , Betula alba (Betulaceae) View in CoL , Castanea sativa (Fagaceae) View in CoL ( Pfeffer 1995; Bright & Skidmore, 2002). This is the first record of S. intricatus View in CoL from Parrotia persica View in CoL .
