Specimen examined. China: 13 (holotype of A. dinghuensis View in CoL , NWAFU), Dinghushan, Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province, 20 Jun. 1983, coll. Yalin Zhang, by lamp domes (NWAFU); 23, Hengshan, Hunan Province, 11 Aug. 1985; 73 2Ƥ, 18 Aug. 1985; 53 8Ƥ, 3 Aug. 1985; 73 13Ƥ, 8 Aug. 1985; 13, 6 Aug. 1985; 1Ƥ, 15 Aug. 1985; 33, 27 Jul. 1985, Chenzhou, Hunan Province, coll. Yalin Zhang & Yonghui Chai; 23 1Ƥ, Huaxi, Guiyang, Guizhou Province, 25 Jul. 2001, 1100 m, coll. Qiang Sun (NWAFU).

Distribution. China (Guangdong, Hunan, Guizhou, Taiwan), Japan.

Remarks. We follow Dworakowska (1997) in treating Alebroides dinghuensis Chou & Zhang as a junior synonym of A. flavifrons . However, the status of A. dinghuensis will need to be reconsidered once more material becomes available for comparison ( A. dinghuensis was established based on a single male). The differences of the aedeagus between the two taxa are re-illustrated in Figs 27–30 View FIGURES 27 – 41. 27, 28 .
