Tetratoma (Incolia) concolor LeConte, 1879 ( Figs. 3E, F View Fig )
Tetratoma concolor LeConte 1879: 518 . Literature Records: None. Digital Records: Two records from Coconino and
Graham counties ( GBIF 2023).
Specimens Examined : “ USA: ARIZ: Coconino Co. //Mogollon Rim; FS 300 // near jct FS 34; 34 22’N // 110 59’; SEP10-12, 2009 // Pleurotus on pine snag || Collector // W. B. BilOdeau // cOllectOrs.” (1 ASUHIC) .
Notes. New state record. The specimens examined by us were collected on the fruiting bodies of the basidiomycete Pleurotus pulmonarius (Fr.) Quél. ( Pleurotaceae ). The series of 18 individuals presumably existed as larvae when WBW placed about five pounds of fruiting bodies on top of soil inside a bucket and were collected as adults after they reared through. The mushrooms also produced over 1,000 adult individuals of Triplax mesosternalis Schaeffer, 1905 ( Coleoptera : Erotylidae ). This western Tetratoma Fabricius, 1790 has not been reported from Arizona in the literature before but likely occurs on fungus at high-elevation localities across the state.
