Marginal setae along anterior margin of head short with a blunt apex; dorsal setae each with a blunt apex and rarely longer than width of basal socket; each stigmatic cleft with 8–13 sharply-spinose setae and 19–22 conical setae................................................................................................... - Marginal setae along anterior margin of head mainly quite long with a sharp apex; dorsal setae mainly with a fairly sharp apex, each generally clearly longer than width of basal socket; each stigmatic cleft generally with 17–27 sharply-spinose setae and 35–57 conical setae..............................................................
