Type material. CHINA, Shaanxi: Holotype ♂, Jiefangmen Village, Houzhenzi Town , Zhouzhi County, 1750 m, 19.VII.1987, leg. HH Li, slide No. SH 19158 . Paratypes: Shaanxi: 1♂, Ningshan County, 880 m, 17.VI.1987, leg. HH Li, slide No. SH 20152 ; Guizhou: 1♂, Dashahe, Daozhen , 1450 m, 25.V.2004, leg. Diagnosis. The new species is similar to N. japonica Stringer, 1930 and N. apiciprocessa sp. nov. superficially. It can be distinguished by the forewing having a black line along the anterior margin of the cell; in the male genitalia by the dome-shaped uncus, and the phallus with sclerotized belts and without denticles. In N. japonica and N. apiciprocessa , the forewings have a silvery gray streak along the anterior margin of the cell; in the male genitalia, the uncus is triangular, and the phallus has denticles and lacks sclerotized belts.

Description. Adult ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 23‒26 ). Male wingspan 23.0−26.0 mm.

Head: Vertex pale yellow; frons golden yellow. Eye interocular index 0.46−0.48. Proboscis dark brown, with yellow scales in basal 1/3. Labial palpus 1.5−1.8 × vertical eye diameter; first and second palpomeres yellow, mixed with black hairs; third palpomere black. Antenna 3.3−3.5 × length of forewing; scape purplish bronzy; flagellum yellowish brown except dark brown in basal 1/4.

Thorax: Mesonotum golden yellow except pale yellow laterally; tegula golden yellow. Forewing ground color orange yellow from base to inner fascia, distal 1/4 purplish gray, termen bronzy yellow; black rectangular speckle at base between veins Sc and R 1; three silvery gray streaks edged with brown scales, with golden luster: first streak from base to near middle along costal margin, second streak from base to 4/5 of cell along posterior margin, third streak from near base to 2/5 of wing along 1A+2A; four black lines: first line from basal 1/4 to 2/5 of wing along R 1, second line from base to 4/5 of cell along anterior margin, third line from near base to 2/5 of wing along CuP, fourth line from base to near 2/5 of wing along dorsum; inner and outer fasciae silvery gray, edged with brown scales, inner fascia slightly curved outward at posterior 2/5, outer fascia slightly curved inward medially, extended outward anteriorly, medial fascia yellow, slightly sinuate; narrow yellow fascia from distal 1/4 of costal margin to beyond tornus, with radial longitudinal yellow stripes alternated by dark brown scales, with dense black scales between costal margin and R 5; fringe brown. Hindwing grayish brown except pale brown between costal margin and Rs; fringe grayish brown. Foreleg with coxa and femur yellow ventrally, purplish bronzy with metallic luster dorsally, tibia yellow ventrally, purplish bronzy dorsally, tarsus golden yellow; midleg yellow except tibia purplish bronzy dorsally; hindleg yellow except tibia brown apically. Epiphysis brown, at basal 2/5 of tibia, not reaching apex of tibia.

Abdomen: Dark brown.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 45 View FIGURES 44‒47 ). Socius ovoid, length 1.5 × width. Tegumen without median ridge. Uncus dome-shaped. Valva fused for basal 1/4, narrowly rounded apically, straight on costal margin, obliquely straight on ventral margin; sacculus reaching basal 1/5 of ventral margin. Transtilla arched, with a triangular anterior emargination; median process slightly exceeding posterior margin apically. Vinculum 2.6 × length of valva, narrowly rounded anteriorly. Phallus straight, 1.2 × length of vinculum, with a pair of sclerotized belts in distal 1/4; vesica with belts of short spines ( Fig. 45a View FIGURES 44‒47 ). Juxta 0.52 × length of phallus; lateral arm 0.22 × length of arrow head.

Female unknown.

Distribution. China (Guizhou, Henan, Shaanxi).
