Stenocrates laevicollis Kirsch, 1871 , new state record
This species is known from Mexico (states of Chiapas, Hidalgo, and Veracruz), Central America (except El Salvador), Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru ( Ratcliffe et al. 2013). A male specimen represents a new state record, labeled: “ MEXICO: Oaxaca, Santa Mar´ıa Chimalapa, VI/2015, F. Escobar-Hdez. col.” (1♂) ( FEHC). This record connects the previously known northern and western Mexican localities at the Isthmus of Tehuantepec .
