Cyclocephala monzoni Ratcliffe and Cave, 2009 , new country record
This species was previously known only from Guatemala (departments of Baja Verapaz, El Progreso, San Marcos, and Zacapa) ( Ratcliffe et al. 2013). The following specimens represent the first record for Mexico , labeled: “ MEXICO: Chiapas, Motozintla, Ojo de Agua , 20/IV/2002, B. Gómez ” (1♂, 1♀) ( ECOSUR-SC), idem except: “ 3 km Berriozabal-Boquerón, 20/IV/2002 ” (1♂) ( LLDC). These records extend the species’ range 135 km northwest from the westernmost Guatemalan record to Sierra Madre de Chiapas .
