Etymology. The specific epithet is an adjective in apposition derived from the type locality.

Diagnosis. Male of S. damingshanensis sp. nov. resembles S. zhuangius sp. nov. ( Figs 3–4 View FIGURE 3 View FIGURE 4 ), but can be distinguished from the latter by the following characters: three arms of median apophysis (AA, RA and PA) protruded, AA with several teeth ( Figs 1A View FIGURE 1 , 2D, F View FIGURE 2 , arms of median apophysis small and AA without teeth in the latter species, Figs 3A View FIGURE 3 , 4E View FIGURE 4 ); the sclerotized terminal apophysis (TA2) flame-shaped, slightly curved ( Figs 1A, C View FIGURE 1 , 2D–H View FIGURE 2 ), (villusshaped in the latter one ( Figs 3 View FIGURE 3 , 4D–E View FIGURE 4 ). Epigyne of the new species can be distinguished from other lycosids by a tongue-shaped septum, the compact spermathecal stalks and round spermathecal heads ( Figs 1D–E View FIGURE 1 , 2I–J View FIGURE 2 ).
