Hampson, 1905, the type species of Triscaedecia Hampson, 1905 View in CoL ; the latter is thus available for use as a subjective replacement name ( Nye & Fletcher 1991).
Diagnosis (modified from Meyrick 1910, to address variation in maxillary palpi). Labial palpi long, second joint porrected, with projecting scales beneath, terminal joint shorter, ascending. Maxillary palpi variable in length, loosely scaled, porrected. Forewings evenly six-cleft from about two-thirds, cell moderate; 2 from two-thirds of cell, 7 and 8 stalked, 7 to apex, 9–11 separate. Hindwings evenly seven-cleft from beyond middle, segments occupied by 1b, 2, 3, 4, 6. 7, 8 respectively, 6 and 7 approximated at base.
