Unidentified Ceratophrys View in CoL sp. from Tarija, Bolivia ( Vergnaud-Grazzini 1968)
A series of isolated postcranial elements (viz., 1 humerus, 2 left ilia, 2 tibiofibulae, 2 scapulae, 2 presacral and 1 sacral vertebra) from the Tarija Basin ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 , locality 14), in the department of Tarija, Bolivia, were attributed to Ceratophrys by Vergnaud-Grazzini (1968). Some anuran remains from this locality tentatively assigned to Ceratophrys were found in the collection of the Museum National du Histoire Naturelle. These fossils, however, do not correspond to the elements listed by Vergnaud-Grazzini. Instead, they probably are bufonids that were cited by the author in the same paper. The material from Tarija attributed by Vergnaud-grazzini to Ceratophrys currently is lost.
