Neoperla clymene (Newman) .

This species is distributed across much of eastern North America from Texas and Oklahoma north to Illinois and east to North Carolina, Virginia and Pennsylvania ( Stark 2004). Historically , with the exception of the northeastern corner, its distribution in Illinois was statewide ( DeWalt et al. 2002). It has experienced great range loss and is currently known only from larger rivers at the periphery of Illinois ( DeWalt et al. 2005). Grubbs (2004) listed it from three southern Indiana counties.
