sp. nov.

Tentasetae pura Han, Qi & Kononenko , sp. n.

( Figs. 2, 3 View FIGURES 1 – 4 , 5–7 View FIGURES 5 – 8 )

Material examined. Holotype: male, China, Prov. Yunnan, Pur, Simao, 15–19.vii.2009 (H.L. Han, M.J. Qi). Paratypes. 2 males, with same data as holotype, genitalia slide no. hhl-2487. The holotype and paratypes deposited in the collection of Northeast Forestry University, Harbin, China.

Diagnosis. Externally the new species is similar to T. cambodiana Fibiger, 2011 ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ) but differs by dark head; paler with reddish tint colouration of the body and forewing; basal part of costal area with longitudinal black patch (in T. cambodiana it is very small), median, and postmedial lines more expressed and more reddish brown than in T. cambodiana ; reniform stigma more distinct, as rounded yellowish mark (in T. cambodiana it hardly expressed, as narrower vertical mark); terminal line pale-ochre, more distinct than in T. cambodiana ; hindwing paler. In male genitalia the new species differs from T. cambodiana by shape of juxta with triangular central extension and medial bar (in T. cambodiana juxta smooth, band-like, curved medially); narrower valva; asymmetrical shape of ampullae, clasper and cucullus (only slightly asymmetrical in T. cambodiana ). The most significant differences between T. pura and T. cambodiana are structure of valva and culullus ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 5 – 8 ). Having the same ground plan of genitalia structure, T. pura differs by slender and somewhat shorter valvae. The cucullus in T. pura strongly asymmetric on left and right valva. Right cucullus of T. pura is similar to those of T. cambodiana , but differs by stronger subapical invagination and more extended dorso-basal angle of cucullus. Left cucullus in T. pura is strongly dissimilar with T. cambodiana . It is straight on dorsal side, with small narrow dorso-basal extension, pointed on the top and extended ventro-basally. Ampullae on both valvae symmetrical, smaller than in T. cambodiana . Aedeagus broader and less curved than in T. cambodiana ; the vesica armed with three cornuti like in T. cambodiana , but apical cornutus is much longer, basal plate-like cornutus larger and more curved and medial finger-like cornutus larger than in T. cambodiana .

Description. Imago ( Figs. 2, 3 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ). Wingspan 11–12.5 mm. Head, patagia, tegulae, prothorax, dark brown. Labial palps porrect; 2-nd segment brown outside, suffused with a few beige scales; beige inside, 3-rd segment cylindrical, small; brown, with beige tip. Abdomen: brown, with dorsal tuft on basal segment. Forewing: relatively long, triangular; ground colour of forewing beige-brown, elements of wing pattern brown or reddish-brown. Wing pattern with a black patch on costal area; antemedial line broad, reddish brown, extended from costal to R vein, then incurved at center, arched at inner margin; median line reddish brown, wave; postmedial line reddish brown, extended from costal area to Cu2, then incurved to inner margin; postmedial line dark reddish brown, indistinct; reniform spot yellowish-white, weak, been-like; orbicular as small, black dot; costal area with trapezoid blackish brown patch between antemedial and postmedial lines; every line surrounded with suffusion; terminal line pale ochre, with incidental dark dots inside. Hindwing light than forewing, diffuse brown; discal spot blurred; vein distinct; terminal line ochre.

Genitalia (5–7). Male: Tegumen thin, relatively short and narrow, narrower and almost equal to vinculum, vinculum rather thick, with extremely large, broad, V-shaped saccus; fultura superior membranous; juxta-anellus plate: totally fused, with hole for aedeagus; anellus weakly sclerotised, large V-shaped; juxta broad band, crown-shaped, with pointed central extension and longitudinal bar (absent in T. cambodiana ); valva rather long, slender and shorter than in T. cambodiana ; editum moderate, elongate, setose, positioned at center of basal part of valva (at clavus area in T. cambodiana ); valvae strongly asymmetrical, with culullus of different shape on right and left valva (slightly asymmetrical in T. cambodiana ); ampullae asymmetrical; sacculus short in left, long in right valva; costa swell at extremity in left, narrow in right valva; clasper slightly asymmetrical, curved and closed to ventral margin of valva on left, slender, straight, and closed to dorsal margin of sacculus in right valva; cucullus asymmetrical, left cucullus triangle, pointed dorsally, extended ventro-basally, with cluster of strong curved setae; right cucullus similar to those of T. cambodiana , but narrower, with narrower dorso-basal extension, bearing cluster of strong curved setae. Aedeagus curved subapically, tapered towards, coecum broad; vesica with a broad, thick and sclerotised cornutus at basal part and with three different cornuti, one plate-like, broader and more curved than in T. cambodiana ; one large spine-like, larger than in T. cambodiana and one long finger-like (small, round in T. cambodiana ). Female: unknown.

Distribution. The species is known only from the type-locality, Pur, Yunnan Province, China. Etymology. This species name is derived from Pur, the type locality.
