Comparative notes. Tychus grassator is similar to T. coiffaiti but distinguished from the latter by smaller eyes (20–22 ommatidia in T. coiffaiti and 10–12 ommatidia in T. grassator n. sp.), antennomeres 4 and 5 distinctly longer than wide (slightly longer than wide in T. coiffaiti ) and different shape of the ventral portion and the dorsal apophysis of the median lobe of aedeagus.
