Eutrichosomella indica Singh , in Singh & Srinivasa, 2010: 2 –5,♀. India, Karnataka (FRI, examined).
The holotype of E. indica is a completely dissected specimen mounted on a slide under 7 coverslip pieces. There is one more coverslip piece, but nothing under it. The slide has two labels, “ Eutrichosomella indica Singh HOLOTYPE, F. INDIA: KA [Karnataka]: Nannadapaara, Makula nr. Virajpet: 26.vi.2003;” and “YB Srinivasa: ex. [canopy fogging of] Vateria indica : NFIC-, FRI Acc. No. 21905”
The holotype, collected in June 2003, was obviously in some liquid preservative, hence the body colour and wing infuscation have faded. The original description is nearly correct, except for one major error—the authors described the propodeum as having a median large and broad plate, its median length half the median length of the scutellum, and showed the propodeal spiracles on this plate ( Singh & Srinivasa 2010: fig. 5). The study of the holotype shows that the propodeum is similar to that in other species, with the spiracles located anterolaterally ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 8 – 15 ).
