Java? Afrique? Probably one Ƌ (however, description, but not measurements or illustration, headed by ♀ symbol) .
One Ƌ syntype with labels: “Ƌ Africque trop? M H de Saussure” [sic] [handwritten on ruled white card]; “ Macrogryllus ephippium Sauss. ” [handwritten on pink paper]; “ Syntypus ” [printed on red paper]. Specimen set with wings folded; the tibia and tarsi of the left front leg, the last tarsal segment of the right front leg, the entire left middle leg, right middle leg and right hind leg are missing. The left hind leg is detached and secured through the femur on a separate pin. Box A6.
