Mexico, Atoyac in Vera Cruz (Schumann, ♀), Jalapa (M. Trujillo, Ƌ). Unspecified number of Ƌ and ♀ .
One ♀ syntype with labels: “Atoyac, Vera Cruz, Schumann” [printed on white card]; “Paroecanth. olmecus Sss. ” [handwritten on green paper]; “ Syntypus ” [printed on red paper]. Specimen set with wings folded; most of both antennae, the right front leg, the last tarsal segment of the right middle leg and the right hind leg are missing. There is further type material in the BMNH according to their online database. Box A 27 .
