Remarks: Sertularia perpusilla Stechow, 1919 was recorded for southeastern Brazil by Vannucci (1951a, 1951b), but the species is considered endemic to the Mediterranean Sea (Peña Cantero & García Carrascosa 2002). Distribution in South America: polyp—Atlantic Ocean, Brazil, at 21.60°S 40.98°W (Vannucci 1951a, 1951b; Migotto et al. 2002).

Habitat: polyp—at 22m depth (Vannucci 1951b).
