Distribution. Australia, Queensland (9°S) to South Australia, shelf and bays, 3– 176 m.
Remarks. Ampelisca euroa is distinguished from other Australian species in the broad second article of the mandibular palp and the absence of a tooth on coxae 1–3. The species is the commonest and most widespread species of Ampelisca in eastern Australia. It occurs on the shelf of South Australia and throughout Bass Strait ; its northern and eastern distribution is here expanded from New South Wales to Torres Strait , Queensland (9°S).
