Replaced synonym: Dendrochilum longirachis Ames View in CoL , Orchidaceae 6: 60 (1920). Notes: not Coelogyne longirachis Ames View in CoL , Orchidaceae 7: 88 (1922). The new name honours the collector of the type, Mary Strong Clemens
(1873–1968), an American botanist and plant collector, who collected plants in the far-flung parts of the Philippines, Borneo, China,
New Guinea and Australia.
