Record from more than 900 m a.s.l. altitudes: Turkey — Isparta, Lake Eğirdir , 910* m a.s.l. on sediments and stones ( Durucan 2020) .
Remarks: This species was recorded from freshwater to salinity 12.5 ‰. Caspihalacarus hyrcanus Viets, 1928 moved to Halacarellus as H. hyrcanus (Viets, 1928) by Bartsch and Gerecke (2011).
