8. Galactia douradensis Taub. (1896: 438) View in CoL . Type: — BRAZIL. Goiás: Serra Dourada, Ule 2864 (holotype P!)
Shrub up to 1.5 m tall; leaves unifoliolate, petiole absent; inflorescences longer than the leaves that subtend them; flowers aggregated, with wine red coloured insect guides on the outer surface of the standard petal. Selected specimen: — BRAZIL. Goiás: Caldas Novas , 17°44'S, 48°41'S, 10 January 2009, G. B. Ceolin 166 (ICN). Distribution: — Endemic to Brazil (GO, MT). Habitat and ecology:— Cerrado biome, growing in shrubland, on plains, in red clay and sandy soils. Notes:—illustration in Burkart (1971, p. 782). Phenology:— Flowering and fruiting from November to May .
