Erect shrub, up to 1.5 m tall; leaves pinnately trifoliolate, petiole absent; inflorescences lax and relatively large (13.5–35 cm long).

Distribution: — Bolivia and Brazil (GO, MG, MS, MT).
Habitat and ecology:—Cerrado biome, growing in grassland, at elevations of 700–900 m, in clay and sandy soils, on plains and hillsides.
Phenology:— Flowering and fruiting from August to May.
